Free Comic Book Day 2006

the spread
Welp, here we are again for another great Free Comic Book Day! This year I was at Richards Comics and Collectables in Greenville, SC. Next to Bill Golliher who is an Archie Artist/Writer and a super nice guy. Click on the pic above for a closer look.
True Comic Book Heroes
Dude, these guys are the real Heroes. They stood out there and waved people in and then when the store got jumping they’d come in and pose for pics and sign comics. Very cool.

Spiderman and Foster
Foster’s first picture with “Pidey”, he finally got to see the big version of what was on his shoes and shirts. Made his day.

Bill Golliher
Bill Golliher drew headshots for 3 hours straight, happily. Very nice artist who I didn’t realize lived around town.

Shazam

Spider-man slingy
There were lots of dads and moms who brought kids by for free comics. From 11:00 until 2:00 there was a pretty good stream of people in and out.
Looky Victor
I doodled all over Joel Priddy‘s swell cover for The Preposterous Voyages of IronHide Tom , from AdHouse Books, because it’s got a one page Attic Bugs Story in the back. Click for a closer look.

Mighty Foster

Foster shows his Super Strength by holding up this display with only one finger! We think he gained the ability when he put on that spanking new Attic Bugs shirt. He said he’d always had it but wasn’t around a display of this size to showcase his power.

You are the best at covering the shows I always love the captions, I’m sure Foster got his Super Strength from his Nanna

  2. Andy says:

Awesome!! 😀 I love how Owly is actually as far away from you as possible on the table. “Keep that dernabbit big-eyed thing away from ME! 😉

And that shirt looks so good on Foster!!

Looks like it was a great day. Sorry I missed it, again (planned to, but we had a family emergency). I see Foster is sporting the new Attic Bugs Tee. I need to order Thomas one!

    My super # 1 nephew !
What a great model he is. Great to see you and spidey hit it off so well. Your cousins love him.

  5. Unfortunately there is only one 18month shirt. The others that I printed are Youth S,M and L that will be shipped off to Sweden. When I can get my lazy self to do so.
