Spiderman Tin Car

Spiderman Tin Car

So I’m at our local Maste General Store with my dad checking out the tin toys and egle eyed dad spots this. Spidey Car

It’s an ultra cool tin friction Spiderman car with old school illustrations. Even has bullet holes in the roof where the crooks have taking a couple of shots at our friendly neighborhood Spidey. I wanted it but I thought it would be expensive. My dad said it would be 10 bucks and I bet it would be more. So we bet each other and the loser had to buy it. Yes I lost and yes it was only 10 smak-a-ronnies. The box is cool also, but I’ll let you enjoy that part, sadly my dad made me repair the roof with a trusted contractor as well because of our betting, guess who had to pay?

So after enjoying it and all the neat detailing I decided to blog about it and went to swipe a picture from the Schylling website. Well that’s when I saw these fellas. Check out the backs of the lids! Yes Foster will so be having an Old School Spiderman Jack In The box.

No it doesn’t stop there. They’ve got a few more Marvel items. Including whatever the heck these finger fighters are. “The battles between good and evil continue with these Classic Marvel characters • Squeeze the handle and the heroes battle it out with their nemesis'” Captain America and Iron Man nemesis, maybe someone was reading “Civil War” when they put these together. But Thing and Hulk nemesis? OK I guess if you count the time when Wolvie carved up Things face and he wore that bucket on his head for a year. Stick to the tin toy business Schylling.

There’s a children’s clothing store near where I work in SoHo called Lilliput, or something like that. I pass by it every day, but I always slow down to look in the window. Why? Well that’s because the window displays are filled with lots of old tin toys! I’ve been seriously debating going in and asking for one of their retro robots.

By the way, they have the Captain American Jack in the Box in the window. I didn’t know it was a Jack in the Box until I saw this post.
