Robot Valentine 2007

Have a great day, here’s a little valentine card for you to print and give to your special person. You could even write a little poem on the back.

Robots are metal,
Flowers have petals,
You’re really neat,
even your feet.

Campbells In Space

Posted by J Chris in Art, JCC

My sister came over today and we worked on family collage portraits ah la Claudine Hellmuth. Of course she left before I could scan hers, she did a really great job.

I wished I had spent a little more time on the content of mine. Had some little jokes in there or something. I guess it’s pretty neat even though I phoned it in. I should have printed the faces out darker. Oh well.

500 Robots and You

Posted by J Chris in Events, Robots

Since February 18 2002 J Chris Campbell has drawn robots. On February 18 2007 he will create his 500th robot and e-mail it out to the world. His 5 year exercise in speed drawing has grown into a massive collection of clanking cartoon characters. So let’s gather and gawk at the gang of robots he’s managed to assemble.

steve burns jack's big music show
The new season of the amazingly wonderful Jack’s Big Music Show is well underway. It’s made by Spiffy Pictures for Noggin and if you haven’t seen this amazingly-cool-puppet-music-show for toots, then you’re missing out. Some pretty good shows so far in Season 2, including a song by the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, who actually came off a little creepy in their video.

But the best so far has to be the triple whammy on the Ground Hog Day episode that featured a guest appearance by Jon Stewart and a rocking Ground Hog video by Steve Burns, of Blue’s Clues fame. Rocking alongside him is Steven Drozd master musician of The Flaming Lips.
Noggin has the full video online here.
Check out Steveswebpage and his myspace page for all sorts of music, vids and info.
