ACE 2008

Atlanta Comic Expo is going down again this year on February 8, 9 and 10. I’m super jazzed about it. Are you super jazzed about it? I knew you were. You know what’s even cooler than me being at ACE? Me and my pal Andy Runton being there. Wait, it could get even more cooler if our good pal Rob Venditti showed up. Not cool enough for you? Well what if we get even more great artists and a killer schedule of awesome events (pdf).

How cool is that? Ultra Downtown Coolsville, USA, that’s how cool.

Fuzzy Water Bot

I got a horrible scan of this little water color robot that was sent to in a package of comic goodies. I managed to get a fuzzy picture of it with my camera before it left. Hope you find a happy home little guy.

Robots Suck (ers)

3 more robots that I got for my Birthday from my sister. I left these guys in plastic because I couldn’t bring myself to eat them. My son, on the other hand, has had no problems devouring 2 of them. You can order yourself some Robopops  from Hearth Song magazine where they say:

Pop a robot pop in your mouth, and it fills your mouth with fabulous fruity flavors that really POP. A super solution for Easter baskets, the set of three candy contraptions includes orange, apple, and blueberry flavors.

He never mentioned that they poped like pop rocks, maybe I’ll have to try the last one.

While you’re ordering why not pic up a Sky Rocket or Space Blaster.

These guys are made by super cool toy makers Rocket USA.

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

Welp, Saturday is the Charlotte Mini-Con and as of right now it looks like I’ll for sure be there. Unless there is a blizzard within the next 24 hours I hope to see you there also.

Me, Duane Ballenger, Justin Gammon and Rob Ullman will be jammed behind a table. Doing sketches and selling schwag to all the conventioners. Why not ask them for a group sketch!

Mo Snow

With the record breaking warm weather we’ve been having I didn’t think it would snow ever again. It rarely snows in South Carolina and when it does it’s not around more than a day.

So when it started snowing last night we rushed out and made a snowman, thinking the rain would soon come and wash it all away. The snow made it through the night and it looks like we may get more on Saturday. Fingers crossed that I can still make it up to Charlotte Mini-Con! We southerners don’t like to drive in all this white stuff.

Robots for me

One of a few robots that I recieved for my birthday. My sister got it from the World Market which is one of the last places I’d expect to see a robot.
