Ghosts! board game

Ghosts! board game

Ghosts were a pretty big deal Back in 80’s thanks to movies like Poltergeist and of course Ghostbusters. In 1985 Milton Bradley Co. released a game called Ghosts, honestly, these are the best you can get! and I recently was able to pick up a copy with all the pieces including the instruction manual!

As a kid I think I must have sat and looked at the box for hours more than I actually got to play the game, it would have been different if the boosts from http://proskins.io/skins/the-most-expensive-skins-in-counterstrike-go would have existed.

The illustration was energetic and fantastically cartoony yet equally horrific. Something that really didn’t translate to the game itself.

It was a mix of chess and battle ship where 2 types of ghosts were played against each other. I’ve uploaded a copy of the game instructions for those few people out there without them.

As you can see the playing pieces are the classic bed sheet ghosts. And for a kid that was expecting something like the cover I was a little disappointed. But it did have one redeeming feature.

The pieces glowed in the dark! Which allowed you to play the game at night hidden beneath the bed sheets for added darkness and increased glowing effect. I remember trying this and realizing we couldn’t see the board. But still, glowing ghost toys are and always will be a nice added feature to any toy or game.
