Monkey Love

I useĀ MailChimp for my e-mail news and I’m pretty happy with it. I love the design, humor and simplicity of it. I’m also pretty happy with the freeness of it. You can have up to 500 subscribers and send them mail 6 times a month for free! It’s a pretty fantastic resource and I recommend it over Constant Contact. So if you’re looking for a better way to manage your e-mail news MailChimp is the way to go.

They’ve recently added all sorts of social networking options that allow you to Tweet and FB your e-news at the same time you send it out. There are all sort of other options that you can utilize also. Like the WordPress widget that allows people to sign up from your home page. I just installed mine in the sidebar —->>>>>

Colt 45 Can Design

I got an e-mail from Jim Mafood about his Colt 45 cans that are available and that they are having an ink the can contest. I’ve been wanting to do the Pepsi can for a while but couldn’t get motivated. After thinking about the Colt 45 for a little I couldn’t resists getting in on the fun. So go vote for my can!

Live the random.

The next time you’re banging your head against the wall trying to force out an advertising concept, why not stop by The Ad Generator website? Just sit back and watch as it creates one of a kind advertising where “Words and semantic structures from real corporate slogans are remixed and randomized to generate invented slogans.” The slogans are then matched with photos from Flickr resulting in some pretty nice ads. I created these by watching the generator so behold the power of experience. Of course I like the more humorous ones.

Straw of a different color

This has to be one of the best promotional ideas I’ve seen in a while. It’s so creatively simple, change the color of the straw to green.
Green Shrek Straw McDonalds

I already prefer McDonald’s straws over every other fast food chains. They’re thinker, wider and perfect for straw popping and milk shakes. Hey, now I’ve got to go test how loud the green ones are.
