I went to my second viewing of Scott Pilgram with some pals and I tried to get a picture of the electric yeti fight. But I was not successful. The first pic is the guitars generating the beast.

You should probably go see the movie at the theatre on the nice and big screen.

They are all nude!

Website Explosions

Last year I ran across this site that does graphical representations of any website. The graphing takes place live via a java application. You’ll see an explosion of dots that continues to grow while you watch with each dot representing a certain thing:
blue: for links (the A tag)
red: for tables (TABLE, TR and TD tags)
green: for the DIV tag
violet: for images (the IMG tag)
yellow: for forms (FORM, INPUT, TEXTAREA, SELECT and OPTION tags)
orange: for linebreaks and blockquotes (BR, P, and BLOCKQUOTE tags)
black: the HTML tag, the root node
gray: all other tags

There’s a Flickr tag if you’d liked to see more. But I’d suggest going there and typing in one of your favorite websites. I went ahead and did your most favorites below. You can even compare them from 05/07 & 02/08.

As an interesting side note, the program was created by artist Fernando Luis Lara who is a part of the internet based art projects. His is 365 special days, where he paints a painting by request for commision for people who want a special day remembered. The Office

Many years ago my friend gave me a box set of the first season to The Office. A British television show that he swore was amazingly awesome. So we watched an episode. It was painful. We watched more episodes and they were equally if not more painful. It was funny stuff, but painfully funny stuff. For some odd reason I couldn’t get into it.
When the American version came on I was front and center. I loved it and came back week after week for more. It didn’t feel quite as real as the British version and maybe that’s what made it more accessible for me. It was funny but not in a painful way or maybe not as often as it’s father was.
But I’m wondering if now that there are no new episodes of The Office until April 10th if I shouldn’t call my friend up and tell him I’m ready for the original now.

We The Robots

Did you know I love robots? I wouldn’t say I’m totally obsesed by robots, but I like them a lot. So it isn’t a surprise how much I like We The Robots. It’s a new web comic by Chris Harding and it’s updated 3 times a week so you don’t get overloaded with new comics each week.

Basically it’s the real world reflected in robot form. But he does some robot specific jokes now and then. I highly recommend you checking it out. You can start at the begining, but I recomend starting here and read a few till you get hooked and then go back and read the intro.

According to their website they say if you can draw it they can make it. FAO Schwarz now offers custom stuffed animals based on your childs drawing. One of a kind stuffed animal and it’ll only cost you two hundred and fourty nine dollarinos.

While your there why not pick up a few of Brian Froud’s Goblins. I still wish I had a copy of his The World of the Dark Crystal book.

While we’re talking about Mr. Froud and the Dark Crystal, did you know they are making a sequal? The Power of the Dark Crystal! I know!! And Mr. Froud is all over it along with Genndy Tartakovsky!

Edit: Like a big dum dum I forgot to mention the new Dark Crystal graphic novel series by Tokyopop. It’s Legend’s of The Dark Crystal and it’s a prequel to the original Dark Crystal movie.

Yo Gabba Gabba

I’ve been looking forward to this show for a long time now. I forgot about it starting on August 20th and totally didn’t vio-it. But there are a few vids up on youtube. Including the performance by the AquaBats.

These have been up there a while. Check out Biz’s Beat of the Day and party in my tummy. I was looking for the remix of Biz’s Beat of the Day but it looks like they’ve taken it down. It was zary goot.

It’s like if Sesame Street was directed by Sid and Marty Croft on the set of Pee Wee’s Playhouse. You get the idea.
